You already can. Check Preferences. You can run any command when a file is
downloaded. Just run mutt or whatever ,mail client you use.

aMule runs an asyncronous call to the previewing app since some months ago. I'm
almost sure this is done this way in 2.0.3 too. Please try with some other
prviewer suhc as mplayer and see if it also stays zombie. I believe this must
be something related with vlc, not aMule. Even if mplayer staye

without closing aMule, just run "killall -SIGSTOP amule", later run "killall
-SIGCONT amule" to resume.

This actually would have better been a feature request for wxgtk 2.4, but it is
done in exgtk 2.6 and so, if you're using aMule with wxwindows 2.6 you will not
have to restart. what's more, it will auto-detect the systray integration to
use, so the "Systray integration" button and dialog have be
must have been some strange bug in wxgtk2.4 since coumns in lists are managed
by wxgtk.
switch to wxgtk2.6 and confirm if this still happens, which i doubt ;)

wxgtk2.6 is available on Debian since some monthsago, just install it and aMule
will have a transparent icon :)
