Package: xdm Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-12.0.1 /etc/init.d/xdm should use 'echo -n' instead of just 'echo' in line 'echo " not running ($PIDFILE not found)' since people may have it installed but not use it and it is creating a dumb newline with just a dot (.).
