Sorry to bother you, but a lot of packages have switched to kernel
2.6.21 and 2.6.18 is no more very supported, I have some troubles

I must switch between the two versions: 2.6.21 without nvidia and

Please update "umbrello" to version 1.5.71: with current version
(1.5.7) there are too many crashes to make it usable!
I hope the new version helps at least a bit seen that they fixed some
common bugs.
Moreover "kdesdk" in Debian testing is still using version 3.5.5 while

I can confirm the bug. Exactly the same behaviour and the same
resolution here!
By the way, thanks Marcus for your indirect help: I wanted to report

Now "apt-get update" works perfectly.
I thought there was a corruption in
Note that installing a package with "dkpg -i package.deb" seems to work

Please do not take into consideration my last message.
I noticed that the new crash is due to apt and not to aptitude.
I opened a new bug report for that.

Hi,

Upgrading the kernel to 2.6.21 seems to have fixed this.
For me it's the opposite!
Now it crashes just after the upgrade process, when you press "Enter"
to continue!
Here the last lines from my last update:

The same bug is happening to me.
For me it is 100% reproducible, each time I install/remove/update something I
get that behaviour.
This is only since last update of aptitude.
