Sure, what I'm really suggesting is a change in defaults.
Systemd is now the default init system. Currently, without this xserverrc,
startx by default breaks your systemd session. This change has been made on
other distributions that already have changed their default init systems to
systemd. The
Alright, I took a nap and cleared my head.
I noticed that on my one machine (which does not run systemd) the
permissions on the joystick device were 0644, but on my other machine which
does run systemd the permissions were 0600 and when I would change the
permissions to 0644 sdl would correctly de

When you start X with startx, it may start X on a different tty from where
you logged in for that session. This would cause the systemd session to
break.
This fix for this is to modify the existing /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc the
way Arch does.

Here's some information I can provide.
This is still a problem in the latest package from sid. 2.0.2.
However, I have two 64 bit machines, and they both do not exhibit this
problem. The one that does exhibit this problem has a few more usb devices
plugged in than the other one. But even when I pl

I suspect that it's best to use the internal fuse because i do suspect
it has key differences from the standard fuse as stated earlier
HI, firstly the patch posted here earlier does work. I had previously
used ldpreload to workaround this.
However, if the Red Hat thread is read, you will see that the glib
problem does affect other software. Notably some fluendo codecs. There
is little upside to the changes that were made to glib,

I share the opinion of Linus, that this should be fixed by Debian in a similar
way to how Fedora has corrected this, until it is fixed upstream and comes into
Debian in that manner.

I currently have a workaround if intersted.

Hi, i don't know if this warrants a new bug report, I don't think it
does, even if it seems that this one is dead.
Anyway, for my laptop I have an pci-e e-sata card. It supports
hotplugging and everything.
Now, even if I have the drive turned on when booting the computer, with
the card built in,

This isn't a big problem. I was getting an error that said mtp-probe failed and
gave the path to some pci usb or something. It doens't matter. Installing
libmtp-runtime resolved the problem.
Udev should therefore depend on libmtp-runtime.
Sorry about the previous message, with the new gconf-editor from
experimental single click will work, but when you open nautilus, you have to
select double click, then select double click for it to work single
clicking.
Weird, I know. But that's what's happening.

This bug can be solved if you upgrade gconf-editor to the version 3 in
experimental. It should probably be a dependency.

I can't say much more. If I click on single-click to open files, it doesn't
work. I still need to double click. If i select double click, when i open
nautilus up again, it goes back to single click, but i still need to double

Hi, I got the backtrace, I attached it, but in the course of doing this, I
installed brasero-cdrkit after rebuilding all the packages with debug

That pretty much describes the problem. With on-the-fly burning checked

is perhaps the only cd burning frontend that properly uses cdrdao for audio
cds.

Disregard that, I think it was my fault for having cairo-dock installed,

I can't install one plugin without installing them all, and I can't have
