Cause deref is CONF_DEREF_VAL it never comes to the ldap_set_options.
Could this be the fault? Is there a case for CONF_DEREF_VAL missing?
Similiar to the case CONF_STR ?

When upgrading from lenny to squeeze sudo-ldap lost the ability to dereference
ldap aliases. In ldap.conf DEREF ist set to "always".
sudo-ldap works if i give a search base which doesn't require derefererencing.
As last try i

waiting some minutes (what does the idle_timelimt, nothing?).
If i enable ssl the reconnect mechanism does not work at all.
nslcd never tries to connect to the second ldap server.
I tested with version 0.7.10 from unstable.

seems to work like a charm.
Response times were even without nscd much better than before, but fallback to
secondary ldap server does not work as expected

in my first report i mentioned that the problem only occurs with
vlan on the e1000 driven interface not with the e1000e interfaces.
This is *not* true.
I thought i could workaround the problem for me, if i configure the both
e1000 interfaces without vlan tagging and just use the 3 e100
I think the subject of the bug should be changed to:
Kernel 2.6.32-5 panics whan vlan tagging an interface without link ready

when i first tried to use an APPLICATION with new amanda-server i got

We have too big problems with this scheduler bug.
It occurs on several Lenny Machines running as VM on ESX3.5U4
Installed Kernel Package is 2.6.26-19
The Machines are not crashing, but they tend to consume lots of cpu
resources until they are nearly unusable or affect other VMs running on
the ESX

i had a smiliar problem, trying to authenticate with postfix over
saslauthd and pam to my ldap server. Since new libsasl2 (repectively
libsasl2-2) no more success.
My system is a clean and uptodate etch running on debian etch vserver.
