This sounds like a kernel panic to me. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Hi,
A short-term workaround for using nvidia-kernel-source with kernel 2.6.21 is
to add the following two lines to the top area of makefile.kbuild in the
nvidia module source:
PARAVIRT_OPS := $(shell grep "D paravirt_ops" /boot/System.map-$(shell uname
-r) | colrm 9)
EXTRA_LDFLAGS := --defsym par

Hi,
I have another quick patch for you as well :) This one makes the build
pwc-modules package to depend on the kernel package it was built for.
In debian/control.modules.in, below the Providles: pwc-modules line, add:

Hi,
I recently compiled the pwc module for 2.6.15-1-686-smp, only to discover it
doesn't load with modprobe. It always loads the in-kernel pwc module (which
is included by Debian kernel packages ).
I have worked out a quick patch that will make it load t
Thanks for pointing that out :)
I was reviewing the NMUs done recently ( I am planning on uploading a new
version to mentors tonight and seeing sponsorship ) and I noticed the same
thing.
As i've always said, many eyes makes bugs disappear :)

one? Basically is there a
variable that, at build time, will be automatically replaced with the kernel
version ( output same as 'uname -r' i guess??)?
Thanks

Hello,
So basically a symlink could be created from the installed pwc-modules pwc.ko
file to /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/updates and it would work?
Thanks for the insight :)

Hi,
I am asking for the in-kernel pwc module (Philips USB webcam) to be disabled
by default, as it doesn't work with the majority of their webcam chipsets
commonly in use. More importantly, it also conflicts with the resulting
package built from the sourc
This bug will be fixed in the next libsdl1.2 package release (currently
available on mentors.debian.net) if i can ever get a sponser :)

Hello,
This support is forthcoming in the next version of libsdl1.2, which will be
uploaded as soon as I can find a sponsor with time :)
Thank you for your patch ;)

It appears that this bug is caused by the linux kernel packages. When I
recompiled the 2.6.12-10 package against the current gcc 4.0.2, performance
returned to what I expected from my computer.
Using PlanetPenguin Racer(?? right name?) as an example. With the 2.6.12-1-686
kernel, I was getting
I tried the 1.2.7+1.2.8cvs20051007-5 release you verified as working, only to
discover it no longer does. I recompiled in a current sid chroot and it
exhibits the same problems as the current version in unstable.
One thing: are you using binary drivers for an ATI or nVidia video card? If
so, it
Hello,
I have been able to reproduce this problem with some SDL games that use OpenGL
for rendering. I will do more testing on this though.
Could you please reply with the games that have this problem? (just a reply to
the bugs.debian.org address will be fine).
Thanks!

Hey,
Good work. If you need any help beta testing the packages or the like, let me
know. I am a big fan of KLibido. Unfortunately the packages provided by
upstream are broken since the C++ transition and KDE 3.4.2

A simple solution that works is to download the source and change the Depend
on libwxgtk2.4-1-python to python-wxgtk2.6.
Build and the packages will work fine. I did it myself and like it much
better.

Hello,
I think I have figured out a solution, as it seems to build fine against
libnjb1. Seems some API has changed upstream since 1.1
I will investigate further. If my solution works, I will try to get an
upload sponsored ASAP.
Thanks!

I am resuming work on LSongs after a slight absence, due to my
realization of two things:
1) LSongs can go into 'contrib'. It only needs to have debhelper and
python2.3-dev to build. However, it's other dependencies can be
satisfied from the Marillat repo and would be available via apt-get. I
Hello,
Sorry for the delay regarding my response. I have been incredibly busy
outside of Debian. I will review your patch and make a new version of
the packages ASAP.
Have a nice day!

Hello,
I closed the bug because I was unable to reproduce it using the latest
version of the package and Debian unstable. Is your system up-to-date?
I am packaging a new upstream version of SDL and let you try it out :)
