I have noticed in one case after waiting about 5 minutes the menu opened and the
dead xorg came back to life. This might not be the same issue but please check
what happens if it is allowed to sit for some time and report how long you have
waited.

Tested on upstream (PPC 2.1 maho and 2.2.0 GNU/Linux SPARC my own build)
In each case there is a brief "hang" for about 8 seconds after the
Macro pane first displays (OOo is not responsive to user input), then
it wakes up and all is OK. This happens on the first access to Insert-
>Frame->Macr
I just tested this on upstream (PPC 2.1 by maho and GNU/Linux SPARC
2.2.0 my own build)
In both cases the same results:
foo bar --> topics are found
"foo bar" -> dialog reports "No Topics Found"
no hangs seen

I saw this some time ago upstream with different printer drivers. for
example my kyocera FS1010 works fine with a hp laserjet driver but does not
like to be a kyocera. the prin for envelopes. the print was just rotated
90deg. Can you try printing the envelope but with a whole sheet of plain
paper (
