I encountered a lock-up several times in short succession:

3. lockup shortly after login
The system became unresponsive via the GUI, and I couldn't switch to
a terminal. I could log in remotely, though the s

provide a traceback. So, I don't know if that means this isn't a kernel bug
at all, or if it is a scheduling bug, or what.

I've also experienced this problem. I've fixed it using the attached patch,
which treats leading whitespace as an indicator the the previous line of
output from df is being continued.

names changed such that it is a drop-in (debian/patches) fix.

directory, rebuild the package, and have it just work. The change
