as far as I can tell, all RAIDs I have are using metadata=1.2 by now.

I forgot to mention, that I added the COPYING file to and built apt 2.5.6, and
not apt 2.5.2 against which the bug was reported. It was against 2.5.6 that
lintian was run.

I built the package with the new copyright file, and ran the resulting .changes
file through lintian.
There were no errors reported by lintian, so the COPYING file provided appears
to have correct systax.

Thanks for the excellent debugging session :)
I've tried to apply the patch [1] but it does not seem to fix the bug
itself.
I'll try to dig further during the Montreal BSP.
Cheers,

Hi,
thanks for reporting this issue.
mdadm requires that the devices are actually detected and present, so,
if you're missing a module in your initrd, it's not something mdadm can
do something about it.

Hi,
thank you for reporting this.
Presumably this is a "old" system with superblock 0.9 where there are
such size limits. This is fixed by using superblock 1.x with any current
mdadm/kernel.

Daniel

Hi,
there are so many things that could have gone wrong here/we don't know
about the initial bug report, specifically how the disks where "copied"
to the new system.
However, when changing hardware in a situation like this, the initrd
should always be regenerated with would h
Thank you for your support. I did't realize, that youtube-dl was forked and
the package is merged to yt-dlp.

Hi Michael,
thank you for reporting this and sorry for the inconvenience.
Given that the bug is 7 years old, I guess you fixed that system (if it
still exists) in the meantime. As nobody else submitted similar bugs
like that, I must assume that it was a "one off"-thing specif

Hi,
thank you for reporting this issue and sorry for the inconvenience of it.
In later 3.x versions and specifically in the 4.x, there have been quite
some fixes regarding the 'grow' functionallity. I could not reproduce
this bug with the current mdadm in stable nor in

Hi Thorsten,
your problem doesn't affect arrays with superblock 1.x and superblock
0.9 is really not much used anymore.. do you still have the issue?
I don't think this has much traction to get ever fixed upstream and
suggest to close the bug. What do you think?
