I hit this too after update from wheezy to jessie. In my case the network
was misconfigured and I hit the ram consumption issue several times. After
I fixed the network configuration the issue didn't manifest. I'll try to
reproduce and debug the process.

That's very nice in theory, but I am telling you in practice it does not

I will be talking to my mentor about possibly making a gtk2 package so
this would be concidered fixed. the dwb(main) package is a gtk3 package.

please find attached a patch that achieves the following:
* Add pacman.desktop file.
* Add pacman_32x32.xpm icon to fix lintian error "menu-icon-too-big".
* Update menu file. Add longtitle and point to the new 32x32

memcached clients is broken/non-existent there as well.
I started with trying to get it working in php5-memcached.
That's not build with --enable-memcached-sasl, so that's the issue
there.

Can you attach the configuration (slapcat of cn=config, remove
passwords/sensitive info) that reproduces this? Are /var/lib/ldap and
all the files in it actually owned by openldap:openldap?
