You reported this bug a while back. It's really a bug with Google Earth
itself, but I've left it open until we find a workaround or see that it's
closed out upstream.
A new minor version (not just patchlevel) of Google Earth is out, 4.1, which
is now supported by googleearth-pack
This issue was fixed in upstream 5.0.32, which is the standard in etch.
As a result, I'm thinking the disabled on expire-logs-days=0 hack in
my.cnf might reasonably be removed now and this bug closed. Just a
suggestion.

Attempts to rebuild pam-http in unstable for the libcurl3 -> libcurl4
transition are failing when building against libcurl4-dev, because pam_http
appears to depend on an obsolete curl option:

I can confirm this. I tested 2.2.0-6, 2.2.0-7, 2.2.1~oof680m15-1,
2.2.0-5, and 2.0.4.dfsg.2-7 (in given order) - none of them work. It is
not a clean install, just a list of what I tested TODAY. At least
2.2.0-5 did work before.
