i simply purged the psad package and re-installed it again (without getting the
deb files, so the pre-downloaded ones have been used).
after that psad came up and it's working now. i still didn't change the kmsgsd
config file.

a) Windows/memtest run fine
b) It was running really quite stable until quite a few changes happened
- I upgraded after having not for quite a while, I also got a BIOS
