I'm also living this problem in two different pc, Mexican Spanish, fully updated, nothing from ppas, backports, or any other external repos involving kde. I created a new user in one of them, and this new user has translations fully updated and working. I got back to my user, and translations are messed up, almost everything in spanish, but some topics still in english. I tried changing the language to english, rebooted, back to spanish, and the same problem... I removed spanish translations, rebooted, reinstalled and everything is the same. I should have checked my system before posting... I installed sometime kde-l10n-es, and still had that trouble, but I forgot I removed it. I have an Inspiron 1501 with Express 1100, with Kubuntu 8.04 Beta, AMD64. I'm using all the current packages in hardy, and using fglrx from kubuntu repo. Hi, I've already tested with kubuntu lucid, one day before the release, the bug is still present. I remove my customizations to udev and xorg.conf, and the mouse is still not moving. I can see activity in /dev/input/event3 when clicking the mouse and while moving the wheel, but no activity when moving the mouse. Mouse is not working in X11, and when using an external one, it seems it gets grabbed by a single window, and I can't click in any other window. The window usually is the latest one selected. The mouse has never worked since ubuntu 7.04, and also has been tested in other distros with similar results. I made a cat /dev/input/b/dev/input/by-id/usb- FUJITSU_Fujitsu_RF_Comfort_Keyboard_Mouse_IV-event-if01, and tried moving the mouse, with no garbage in screen. Wheel movements, button and wheel clicks produce garbage in the screen. I tried to create rules for udev to modify this mouse so it's detected as mouse, but I'm not an expert and I'm almost sure the didn't worked. Hi, I've compiled a while ago 4.4.2 kdepim packages using 4.3.5 using Kumaran Santhanam instructions for rolling back to 4.3.5 kaddressbook, and right now I'm recompiling 4.4.5 ppa packages. Is there someway of replacing for later sub releases of lucid as a bug fix? I can try and get a diff from the ppa directory and the one I used, althought some help could be used to speed it up, or for adding it to a ppa. Is this posible? lucid is going to be around for some time, and truly, kaddressbook is not usable for the majority as it is now, and a lot of users will prefer the LTS than the newer versions.
