I have an Inspiron 1501 with Express 1100, with Kubuntu 8.04 Beta, AMD64. I'm using all the current packages in hardy, and using fglrx from kubuntu repo. I couldn't shutdown the X server because it hanged out. Ii tested this patch and I can shutdown, reboot, suspend, and event hibernate/resume.
