Re: [Bug 295656] Re: will not auto empty all deleted message from trash can

It does it every single time
every time there is a email copy in my sent folder and if I delete the
sent email copy , the trash can will not empty any sent copy email but
it will do it for any others so far.

Send and email
go to sent folder delete the sent copy

My trash folder is set on auto delete every time I exit

[Bug 318511] Re: [jaunty] weird refresh rate behavior with nvidia driver

2009-05-20 Thread showgun
I have worst problems XPS M1710 GeForce Go 7900 GS
blue bars on on disply geberish lettering from the boot freezes you name it and
many people are reporting problem with this specific card and laptop
The problem started with Jaunty downgraded back tried hardy as well as Intrepid
and the problem still persist I started to believe the problem could have been
the card/chip.
So formatted installed XP and all the good Dell software problem gone.

Dedided to dual boot with Jaunty even before installing the Nvidia drivers the
problem started back again. The problem reside in an other place could be
xrandr & xorg.
Found a link that listed adding the following to xorg

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Configured Monitor"
ModeLine "1920x1200" 162.000 1920 1968 2000 2160 1200 1201 1204 1250 -hsync
-vsync
EndSection

this seem to have solve the problem I since have installed Nvidia drivers and
it is running quite stable might have had one haps but reinsert the above and
working fine.
Hope this will help.

I was really desappointed to have to put back windows but looks like I will
have to keep it untill the next upgrade "Karmic"
This in my opinion is a very serious problem when it comes down to video

[Bug 230571] [NEW] Monitor input not supported

2008-05-14 Thread showgun
Public bug reported:

Hardy Heron

I just got an acer x193w LCD monitor and I am getting the error message
"Input not supported" before Ubuntu loads up and aduring shut down.
After searching acer's website this error is caused by display
resolution set too high.

According to acer's instruction the monitor should be set at
1440 X 900 @ 60Hz when I look into the Hardy sytem/Preference screen resolution
it is set as recommeneded.

I have search and looked and it seems that many have this problem or
very similar but I have seen no solution to this

Acers book information states:

H-Frequency 30KHz - 81KHz
V-Ffrequency 55 - 76 Hz
Max. Resolution 1440 x 900 @ 60Hz

IN the attach file you will find copy of
xorg.confxrandrddcprobeget-edid|parse-edit

I have edited my xorg according to some sugetsionsI did read but no
change as well as I have installed the ATI proprietary drivers as per
Ubuntu Howto

Hope this will be of some help

[Bug 69023] Re: ppscsi won't build with module-assistant under kernel 2.6.17-10-generic (or newer)

2008-05-06 Thread showgun
I am a newbie so not 100% sure it is the same problem.

I have HP6100C connected to a PCI SCSI card Adaptec AHA2940U it was
working fine if Feisty, Gutsy but since I have upgraded to Hardy the
screen that use to come up at the beginning to load the SCSI does not.

When I type any of the following command line
lsscsi lspci lshw
I can not see anything about the above Hardware It is like the scsi module does
not exist?

If this is the same problem in my case it only stopped working since my upgrade
to Hardy, I sure hope some one is working on this since this is retrograding...
Thanks

[Bug 212510] Re: [gutsy] [hardy]No signal with Samsung SyncMaster 750s

2008-05-09 Thread showgun
I am not sure if a new bug should be started but this is related I think.
(Hardy) I have a LCD Acer x193w ATI radeon 8500LE (R200)
Both during boot and shut down I get a floating message "input not supported"
BUt Ubuntu does loads
I just switch my drivers to ATI as the Ubuntu howto shows to do it fixed the
Xorg
Now in addition to the input not supported I now also have a green screen just
before Ubuntu LOads up.

What I am told it is due to refresh rate that problems but I loaded the
figure recommended in the booklet from acer?

Hopefully this problem will get fix it seems to be happening left and
right...

I am running Lucid beta1 and I had the same problem so as you suggested I
booted using liveCD Karmic 9.10 and was able to format the sd card.
Proceeded to retry this with Lucid and this time it did work just fine.
The funny thing is that prior this I tried over a dozen times and could not?
There must a be a reason for this
I believe that prior it was msdos fat after the live cd format it was fat32 is
this a reason?

Just a note I only had what was automatically installed with Ubuntu after
looking at my older installation I realized that soem drivers were not
installed and some cold not be installed due to missing xorg
BUt I was able to installed Nvidia common and after restarting I finally had
brightness maybe you might want to make sure that Nvidia common as well as
Current are installed it might do the trick but I still do not have display
resolution setting

[Bug 740095] Re: Need to delete and re-add bluetooth mouse on every reboot

2011-04-28 Thread showgun
My problem is similar when I first boot and if I reboot it usually
solves it or sometimes turning the applet on and off and on again a few
times and than selecting connect will fix it.

Fresh install Ubuntu Beta 1 been like now running full ubuntu 11.04
Kernel 2.6.38-8-generic

I would like to add this is a problem that started in 10.10.
This is a very annoying problem and should be consider high importance when you
have been dealing with this type of problem over one Ubuntu upgrade
I know this problem does not exit in latest Debian
