[Bug 285999] [NEW] gnome-terminal tabs switch is slow when maximized
Public bug reported: In gnome-terminal, the switching between tabs gets noticeably slower when the gnome-terminal window is maximized. When it's not maximized and you click on an inactive tab or press the key shortcut to switch tab, it switches without any delay. But when you maximize the gnome-terminal window and do the same, the tab switches only after about half a second. ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-terminal tabs switch is slow when maximized https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/285999 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 134410] Re: [needs-packaging] wicd
Dan, I think you definitely made a point. network-manager is just a big pain. On my laptop it fails to see most wifi networks were wicd has no problem to discover and connect. [Bug 97010] Re: Gaim always crashes with Off-The-Record Messaging plugin
I can confirm the problem and in my opinion this is definitely a problem, even if Janne is right and the key finally gets generated after a long time. My system is not under load at all during the key generation. I started gaim with strace. The output of the last few lines is attached. [Bug 179773] Re: window borders disappear with enhanced visual effects turned on
Just tested the beta iso. Problem still exists exactly as described above. I don't see that anyone of the Ubuntu QA or dev team is caring about it, but if this bug will slip into the final hardy release, possibly many people who install it on a system with (maybe only older) Nvidia cards and activate the proprietary drivers probably will be pretty pissed when their Gnome environment is unusable afterwards!
