[Bug 147640] SIGSEGV with subversion 1.4.4dfsg1-1ubuntu3 on BDB

2007-10-01 Thread Mouse
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: subversion

I've updated to the latest subversion 1.4.4dfsg1-1ubuntu3 from
1.4.3dfsg1-1ubuntu1. My repo's type is BDB. On some operations svnserve got
SIGSEGV.
You may reproduce it with following steps with latest subversion:
1: $ svnadmin create --fs-type bdb /var/lib/svn/test
2: $ svnserve --listen-host localhost -d -r /var/lib/svn
3: $ svn ls svn://localhost/test/trun
svn: Connection closed unexpectedly

However, if I downgrade to 1.4.3dfsg1-1ubuntu1, then on third step I'will get:
$ svn ls svn://localhost/test/trun
svn: URL 'svn://localhost/test/trun' non-existent in that revision

This is not affect FSFS repo type.
Also, I'm using libdb4.4 = 4.4.20-8ubuntu2, while the latest one is
4.4.20-8.1ubuntu2, but it have another one bug.

[Bug 139315] Re: subversion fatal error

2007-09-13 Thread Mouse
Only one thing was affected between versions. It was a configure option
in debian/rules:

-ifneq (,$(findstring z$(DEB_BUILD_GNU_CPU)z,$(NPTL_SUPPORTED_CPUS)))
+#ifneq (,$(findstring z$(DEB_BUILD_GNU_CPU)z,$(NPTL_SUPPORTED_CPUS)))
 ifneq (,$(findstring z$(DEB_BUILD_GNU_SYSTEM)z,$(NPTL_SUPPORTED_SYSTEMS)))
 CONFIGURE_SWITCHES += --enable-pthreadsmutexes=yes
 endif
-endif
+#endif

And as a result:
$ ldd 4.20-8/libdb-4.4.so
linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0xe000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 (0xb7d9c000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x8000)

$ ldd 4.20-8.1/libdb-4.4.so
linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0xe000)
libpthread.so.0 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0 (0xb7ea2000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 (0xb7d58000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x8000)

New lib about 4k larger.

no, it's not professional and it's look bad
it's better to have 10 applications Translated perfectly then 100 applications

80% Translations and then finish the Translations (not like to day,
start to Translate a new applications)

[Bug 145218] Re: "Open with, Other" option should default to /usr/bin/

2007-12-30 Thread mouse
if you right click on a file (on nautilus) and then select: properties>open
with>add:
you will see a UI with a list of application

this is the UI that the user need see if he select the "Other" option.

[idea] in the future this UI will help the user to install a "recommend
application",
for example:
the user click on KML, now
if Google Earth is already installed, the user will click to run the files
(like to day)
but if Google Earth is not install the os pop up this UI, now the user need to
mark from the list application Google Earth to install it
this mean that the application list include not just installed application but
also an uninstall application (the uninstall application are a "recommend
application"- so in the future you don't need to search for application, you
will need to search for a feature).
