Current v4l2src uses the same structure for VIDIOC_QUERYBUF, VIDIOC_QBUF and v4l2_munmap calls. The problem is that the video buffer size (length) may vary for compressed or emulated bufs. [Bug 950160] Re: Unity blocks other programs from binding globally to Super+* or Alt+* (* = any key)
for detailed the term Unity in Summary section means unityshell component in unity. 1. BIOS/HW sends Super+P scan code when user press function key in laptop and then convert to X key event by kernel and X server to the Compiz. 2. unityshell is a Compiz plugin and defines a lot of action callbacks for specified keys. so Compiz will pass the X key event to all plugins for trigger the key event handling ( PrivateScreen::handleActionEvent -> PrivateScreen::triggerKeyPressBindings in $compiz_src/src/event.cpp) 3. if the keycode and modifier defines in the Action is as the same as the keycode and modifier in X event, the Action callback will be executed, then Compiz thinks this X event is handled. for example, action callback for Super key is to show Unity Launcher. 4. if Compiz thinks this X event is handled it will stop to handling X event if private screen does not grab any devices. if this X event is not handled , Compiz then thinks it maight be Focus-In, Focus-Out, etc, and continue trigger the related handling function. so far, there is an question comes up in my mind, why the action callback of Super key which is defined in unitshell will be triggered when user press Super+p and this symptom should not be happened. (the return value is True of PrivateScreen::triggerKeyPressBindings or PrivateScreen::triggerKeyReleaseBindings in $compiz_src/event.cpp) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/950160 Title: Unity blocks other programs from binding globally to Super+* or Alt+* (* = any key) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/950160/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 989689] Re: Synaptics touchpad stops working
I have similar problem There are 4 interesting symptom 1. i8042 interrupt trigged when touchpad move up/left/down/right 2. evst shows the coordination when touchpad move up/left/down/right 3. there is no event in XEV when touchpad move up/left/down/right 4. touchpad is still disabled even gnome-settings-daemon is killed According 1 and 2 we can have conclusion that hardware interrupt and kernel even is generated correctly but there is no any X event in symptom 3. Since 2.6.35 touchpad is now properly recognized as a Synaptics-type touchpad, the X event is from xorg input synaptic driver . there were 3 syndaemon process while touchpad is freeze, and the property TouchpadOff is 1 The touchpad works again after I use 'synclient TouchpadOff=0'. @Colin , @James Yes, I understand the patch is not perfect solution, user will need to repeat key pressing until it is trigged. [Bug 713950] Re: Improvement for zh-tw fontconfig settings of language-selector
I am a Traditional Chinese User, and this is my personal opinion. I also don't want to edit 69-language-selector-zh-tw.conf, and I agree with Aron Xubug , the repor and fix should goes to upstream application. the root cause is those application can not show Chinese word correctly does not support font-config. To solve this, I need to give input to upstream, not modify the 69 -language-selector-zh-tw.conf to avoid the problem. and also, to modify 69-language-selector-zh-tw has a risk that Traditional Chinese can not find which application does not support i18n well, and never give feedback to upstream application, so upstream will not support i18n until a non-latin language developer joined. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/713950 Title: Improvement for zh-tw fontconfig settings of language-selector -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 690896] Re: Character duplication when changing windows
** Description changed: Binary package hint: ibus-chewing I'm on Ubuntu 10.10 and using ibus-chewing 1.3.7.20100910-1hychen1. Whenever I type something using chewing then click on another window, whatever I had typed becomes duplicated in first window. This does not happen if I toggle chewing off before changing windows. Also when clicking back to my first window it duplicates yet again. It is very difficult to do any type of word processing with this bug. E.g., I type "你好" in any space that allows me to type, then focus on another window, in the first window I see that my text is now "你好你好". Upon clicking on the first window again I see "你好你好你好". + + Test Case + + Step To Reproduce + + 1. mouse left click to google search bar in Firefox 4.0 + 2. type Chinese and press Enter , the "測試" appearers in google search bar in Firefox 4.0 + 3. mouse left click to URL bar in Firefox 4.0 + + Excepted Result + + no Chinese words appears in URL bar in Firefox 4.0 + + Actual Result + + "測試測試" appears in URL bar in Firefox 4.0 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/690896 Title: Character duplication when changing windows -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
