[Bug 103104] Re: After gimmie crash application icons do not show up in "notification area v2.18.1"

2007-05-23 Thread Eric Grigg
Thanks for getting back to me Sam. Unfortunately I have to agree with
you that the only way to get your icons back is to restart the panel,
which is kind of a nuisance, but probably unavoidable. If the
application didn't crash, then it would be a problem either, but
gimmie's still very much beta software, so that's to be expected too.

I'm going to leave this bug as needs more info for a while longer, and
wait and see if anything else comes up.

Thanks again for your interest!

Same thing happens to me. It seems to me that the icons change their

[Bug 91926] Re: sometimes 1 column, sometimes 2

2007-05-03 Thread Eric Grigg
I thought I would qualify my comments:
Just about everything except for under the Linux topic and then the settings
button. Though if you move between different topics and back again a few times
it seems to correct itself. There seems to be some discussion on the issue
here http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406269, but that won't help you
much David as you are the one still experiencing the problem in that bug report
too. However, for others, building from the update svn may fix the problem.

I'm running Feisty and the package is 0.2.4.repack-0ubuntu1 from the
repositories.

[Bug 91901] Re: menu size and button position

2007-05-03 Thread Eric Grigg
Hi there,

I was hoping if you would be able to provide a bit more information.

What version of ubuntu are you running and what version of gimmie?

Does this occur if you change the location of the taskbar applet (ie if
you use it on the top bar instead of the bottom one)?

Any more information you can provide will be much appreciated.

[Bug 103104] Re: After gimmie crash application icons do not show up in "notification area v2.18.1"

2007-05-04 Thread Eric Grigg
Hi there,

I am hoping you could provide some more information about this bug.

First, does this occur when you run gimmie as a stand-alone toolbar
(like this http://www.beatniksoftware.com/gimmie/img/gimmie-bar.png) or
when you have have added gimmie to your panel (like this
http://www.beatniksoftware.com/gimmie/img/gimmie-applet-anim.gif)?

Second, what did you expect to happen when you started gimmie? I know
that it takes all the icons, but I'm guessing that is not what you
thought it should do.

Third, if you could provide a screenshot of what you are describing (a
picture is worth a thousand words after all!)

Fourth, if you know anyone who has duplicated this problem, please have
them indicate so on this bug.

Thank you for your input!

2007-04-16 Thread Eric Grigg
Hi there,

This bug needs a bit more information before it can be useful to the
developers.

1) Could you explain exactly what you were doing when the bug happened (what
were you trying to sign into?)
2) What version of (K)(X)Ubuntu are you running?
3) What version of gaim are you running?

Also, if you have any log files or crash dumps this bug creates that
would also be much appreciated.

Thanks for the input!

Cheers.
