I'm testing it in intrepid. Now, with usb1 port, only camorama freeze
and not the whole system. The driver version is the same as in 2.6.24,
so I think that the issue is still there.

Which version of hpt366 bios do you have? There are difference from
1.28b and 1.25, I've read in some site devoted to the BE6 that 1.25 is
the best.

[Bug 60105] Re: paste not functional (half)

2006-09-16 Thread DjMix
Hi. I've read the response of the developer. I think that the problem is
not that. He don't wont the user able to randomly edit the text area,
and this is ok, but I can paste anything via edit->paste, and for
anything I mean really anything, even phrases. I can use edit-> paste or
ctrl-v, or middle button. But not the quicker (and more immediate)
method, right-button->paste. To me, he have to disable all of this, if
he want to enforce control over user input.

Paste something in it is a usefull thing. And it is possible. But not in
the more natural way. Is it possible to catch paste from the contextual
menu and append it like the over ways?

[Bug 114232] gdm won't start the first time; second does

2007-05-12 Thread DjMix
Public bug reported:

At boot, gdm won't display the usual greeting prompt. Screen remain
black, with mouse cursors rotating, for 20-30 seconds. Then, X restart
automatically, ad gdm shows the correct login prompt. From the syslog I
can see than the first time, gdmgreeter exit immediately, causing some
automatism to restart X server. This time gdmgreeter starts correctly.

I normally configure gdm for automatic login; whit this behaviour it
show me a prompt (no automatic login).

I tried to purging ad reinstalling gdm, but this makes no difference.

[Bug 227983] Re: Logitech QuickCam Web don't work (and freeze the computer)

2008-05-08 Thread DjMix
I had compiled linux-tv modules trying to make a dvb-t receiver works..
with no luck by the way.

Ok, I cleaned the things up. Now what I got is attached in this new
dmesg. Kernel oops. But on another machine it works smootly. I don't
have logs of the machine where I noticed the bad behaviour.. I'll make
that tomorrow.

[Bug 227983] Re: Logitech QuickCam Web don't work (and freeze the computer)

2008-05-08 Thread DjMix
I think I got something. If this webcam is connected on a usb1 port (directly
to the mainboard or throught a usb1 hub) kernel oops immediatly when I try to
use it.
If it is connected on a usb2 port, it works.

This is weird. I have another webcam (stv680, see my other bug reports)
that have the opposite problem. I'm cursed ^_^

BTW, cheese don't reconize this webcam, I've tested it using camorama.
And the other pc where I've tested it some minutes ago have usb1 ports,
but work flawlessly... (It have a totally different chipset, if someone
want I'll post dmesg ecc)

The computer where this thing started have usb1 and usb2 ports, and this
webcam usually was connected on the usb2 one's, only yesterday I
switched to usb1 and the problem arised. I'll test this tomorrow.

I can confirm that this webcam don't work in Gutsy. In my case, it
freeze on the first access from program (camorama/ekiga) and it won't
work anymore. Unloading and reloading stv680.ko don't reset it. Either
disconnecting it don't make result. Only way is reboot..

[Bug 103705] Re: Not build on feisty

2007-04-17 Thread DjMix
Sure! First, add in your /etc/apt/sources.list a reference to debian source
archive:
deb-src ftp://ftp.it.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
Choose another mirror if you prefer. Now, update apt index:
apt-get update
Probably you have to instruct apt to take the debian version (older than
feisty's), to do so add this to your /etc/apt/preferences:
Package: sl-modem-source
Pin: version 2.9.9d+e-pre2-8
Pin-Priority: 1001
Now you can use module-assistant to build up your module:
m-a a-i sl-modem
On my system it compile and work, but sl-modem-daemon is very unstable.
Probably you should backport it, too. To do this:
apt-get build-dep sl-modem-daemon
apt-get source -b sl-modem-daemon
I hope it works...

PS I don't have tried this because the computer wasn't mine, I have done
it in a hurry..

The bug report I've filled is against dapper version of gaim
(1:1.5.0+1.5.1cvs20051015-1ubuntu10) which I'm using right now - never
updated to edgy or feisty... probably the cvs version taken already had
that feature, maybe incomplete..

[Bug 73508] Re: Log windows does not show some logs

2006-12-08 Thread DjMix
Eh, no.. I tried edgy (dist-upgrade from dapper) but I never arrived at
the desktop, due to 3dfx bug and over issues.. so I decided to stay with
dapper (format & reinstall). The log was recorded before, anyway.. with
the official gaim version of dapper. It seems that gaim save log with
this name format, but don't know how to handle it. I've noticed this bug
searching for a conversation, that does not appear on the log window,
but is recorded on the file I've talked to on the first post..

I also tried with these kernels:

5.0.0-44.48~18.04.1
4.18.0-25.26~18.04.1
4.15.0-96.97

The same behaviour happens.

# echo 1 > /sys/devices/pci:00/:00:1c.5/:04:00.0/remove

[Bug 1595405] [NEW] Akonadi depends on mysql but may be used with other backends

2016-06-22 Thread DjMix
Public bug reported:

Package akonadi-server lists akonadi-backend-mysql as a dependency, but
suggests akonadi-backend-postgresql and akonadi-backend-sqlite as
alternative backends. Shouldn't they be all dependencies in OR? Actually
you can't remove the mysql backend even if postgres or sqlite are
installed.

[Bug 1551022] [NEW] mouse pointer leaves trail

2016-02-28 Thread DjMix
Public bug reported:

In my desktop system Kubuntu 15.10 I have the integrated graphic card
(Intel HD3000) and a discrete graphic card (Nvidia GTX 550). Some days
ago I attached a monitor on the iGPU and enabled it, giving me a triple
head system (two monitors on the Nvidia and one on the Intel). From that
moment, the mouse pointer started to leave a trail when it pass over
something that is animating. I'm using nouveau for the nvidia card. I
tried to upgrade to Kubuntu 16.04, but it gives me the same glitch. It's
not possible to take a screenshot because it will repaint the desktop
prior to take it, so the glitch doesn't appear: I had to take a photo.

** Attachment added: "xdpyinfo.txt"

** Description changed:
