[Bug 60105] Re: paste not functional (half)
Hi. I've read the response of the developer. I think that the problem is not that. He don't wont the user able to randomly edit the text area, and this is ok, but I can paste anything via edit->paste, and for anything I mean really anything, even phrases. I can use edit-> paste or ctrl-v, or middle button. But not the quicker (and more immediate) method, right-button->paste. To me, he have to disable all of this, if he want to enforce control over user input. Paste something in it is a usefull thing. And it is possible. But not in the more natural way. Is it possible to catch paste from the contextual menu and append it like the over ways? -- paste not functional (half) https://launchpad.net/bugs/60105 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 103705] Re: Not build on feisty
Sure! First, add in your /etc/apt/sources.list a reference to debian source archive: deb-src ftp://ftp.it.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free Choose another mirror if you prefer. Now, update apt index: apt-get update Probably you have to instruct apt to take the debian version (older than feisty's), to do so add this to your /etc/apt/preferences: Package: sl-modem-source Pin: version 2.9.9d+e-pre2-8 Pin-Priority: 1001 Now you can use module-assistant to build up your module: m-a a-i sl-modem On my system it compile and work, but sl-modem-daemon is very unstable. Probably you should backport it, too. To do this: apt-get build-dep sl-modem-daemon apt-get source -b sl-modem-daemon I hope it works... The bug report I've filled is against dapper version of gaim (1:1.5.0+1.5.1cvs20051015-1ubuntu10) which I'm using right now - never updated to edgy or feisty... probably the cvs version taken already had that feature, maybe incomplete.. -- Log windows does not show some logs https://launchpad.net/bugs/73508 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Eh, no.. I tried edgy (dist-upgrade from dapper) but I never arrived at the desktop, due to 3dfx bug and over issues.. so I decided to stay with dapper (format & reinstall). The log was recorded before, anyway.. with the official gaim version of dapper. It seems that gaim save log with this name format, but don't know how to handle it. [Bug 1595405] [NEW] Akonadi depends on mysql but may be used with other backends
Public bug reported: Package akonadi-server lists akonadi-backend-mysql as a dependency, but suggests akonadi-backend-postgresql and akonadi-backend-sqlite as alternative backends. [Bug 1551022] [NEW] mouse pointer leaves trail
Public bug reported: In my desktop system Kubuntu 15.10 I have the integrated graphic card (Intel HD3000) and a discrete graphic card (Nvidia GTX 550). Some days ago I attached a monitor on the iGPU and enabled it, giving me a triple head system (two monitors on the Nvidia and one on the Intel). From that moment, the mouse pointer started to leave a trail when it pass over something that is animating. I'm using nouveau for the nvidia card. I tried to upgrade to Kubuntu 16.04, but it gives me the same glitch. It's not possible to take a screenshot because it will repaint the desktop prior to take it, so the glitch doesn't appear: I had to take a photo. 1) $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu Xenial Xerus (development branch) Release:16.04 2) $ apt-cache policy xorg xorg: Installato: 1:7.7+13ubuntu1 Candidato: 1:7.7+13ubuntu1 Tabella versione: *** 1:7.7+13ubuntu1 500 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3) I expect normal mouse behaviour 4) Mouse leaves a trail of pointers ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 Package: xserver-xorg-core 2:1.17.3-2ubuntu4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-8.23-generic 4.4.2 Uname: Linux 4.4.0-8-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sun Feb 28 22:50:01 2016 ExecutablePath: /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-11-19 (100 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 15.10 "Wily Werewolf" - Release amd64 (20151021) SourcePackage: xorg-server UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to xenial on 2016-02-24 (4 days ago) ** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug xenial ** Attachment added: "photo of an area of the screen filled with mouse pointers" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1551022/+attachment/4583924/+files/DSC_0480.JPG -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1551022 Title: mouse pointer leaves trail To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1551022/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I tried to upgrade to Kubuntu 16.04, but it gives me the same glitch.
