Some headers files are missing. Bug is identical to ubungu bug 928009 -
see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kde-runtime/+bug/928009 where
are all information described.

They have already fixed their packages so maybe you could get inspiration
(they've added kde-runtime-dev package).

Hi,

Following the big libstdc++6 transition kwalletd (i.e. the KDE4 version) no
longer appears to support GPG encrypted wallets. Whenever I try to open an
existing wallet which worked fine before the transition I now always get error
code 42 ("Unknown encryption scheme.").

In Bug#798783 it was noted that kwallet5 had to be rebuilt against gpgmepp,
which at that time was working through the transition.

Does kde-runtime also need to be built against libgpgme++2v5? It appears that
it previously had a dependency on libgpgme++2.

Thanks,

Matt.

The support for GPG wallets in kde-runtime was enabled again in the

Dear Maintainer,

I cannot copy from local to remote via sftp in KDE "krusader".
This is due to a login-password-problem. See:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314616

I am using Debian testing (krusader 1:2.3.0~beta1-1+wheezy3).
I have also tried to update the package to unstable, but it doesn't
work either (krusader 1:2.4.0~beta1+git76+de1ea35-1.1).

Since the same problem appears not only in KDE "krusader",
but also in the KDE "dolphin" file manager, it is most likely
a bug in "kde-runtime". See:
https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/109290/

Patch available there.

Thanks
Christian

Assuming that kwin is still usable without plasma-framework, then it would be
better to add it as a recommends (to kwin-common). On top of this,
systemsettings or, at least, kde-cli-tools seems to be also missing to show
the kcm... On the other hand, kwin is not really intended to be used as
standalone window manager, and it would seem me that you are currently missing
plasma-desktop, which would have installed plasma-framework among other
things. Maybe that's the real recommends that it's missing here.

I'm adding this last recommends to the git repostory, and it would be part of
the next upload.

Package: libnepomuk4
Version: 4:4.7.4-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Virtuoso is missing from testing, and without it, Nepomuk does not work (also
see [1]). As I had to find out the hard way [2], reporting this against
Virtuoso is wrong (sorry for the multiple bug reports caused by this).
As a result of virtuoso missing, new installations will not be able to get a
working Nepomuk, making the package unusable.

Package: kdebase-runtime
Version: 4:4.4.5-1

A program /usr/bin/nepomukservicestub writes huge amount of data to .xsession-
errors. In three days the file size has reached 13 GB! The lines are similar to
this one:

[/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub] "/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub(2075)" Soprano:
"SQLExecDirect failed on query 'sparql insert into graph
 {

 . }'
(iODBC Error: [OpenLink][Virtuoso iODBC Driver]CL064: Lost connection to
server)"

"/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub(2166)" Soprano: "SQLExecDirect failed on query
'sparql  select distinct ?r ?o where { { ?r

 . } UNION {  ?p ?o . }
} LIMIT 1' (iODBC Error: [OpenLink][Virtuoso iODBC Driver]CL064: Lost
connection to server)"

This happens only when indexing service Nepomuk/Strigi is indexing files/is
active.

Dear Maintainer,

I recently uninstalled virtuoso as it got removed from testing and nothing on
my system depended on it - but now Nepomuk does not work anymore, when starting
it says

"Nepomuk Semantic Desktop needs the Virtuoso RDF server to store its data.
Installing the Virtuoso Soprano plugin is mandatory for using Nepomuk."

I will re-install virtuoso from spanshots.debian.org, but the system should not
even let me uninstall virtuoso if nepomuk requires it for working.

Kind regards,
Ralf

Package: kdebase-runtime
Version: 4:4.3.0-2
Severity: wishlist

Hello,

nepomuk is included in the kdebase-runtime package.
When I want to use okular as a document viewer on a gnome desktop
I get kdebase-runtime and the always starting (/usr/share/autostart/
nepomukserver.desktop from kdebase-runtime-data) nepomuk process.
nepomuk is not always needed and should just be an option like a additional
binary package.

thx and regards

Dear Maintainer,

After recent update of dolphin/konqueror to 4.14 in SID, support for sftp://
connections does not work any longer.

Example: In Dolphin, press F6, enter sftp://username@hostname. Dolphin does not
connect but reports “Invalid protocol”.

Best Wishes

Hi, i'm using nepomuk to index my home directory, i wish to exclude

i set the severity to important because it makes my system almost

The kopete package for KDE4 seems to lack a debian-menu file, which
was present in the KDE3 version if I remember correctly. Please
provide one again so kopete becomes accessible from a fluxbox desktop.

Thanks

Hi,

after the CTTE bug #741573 [1], the Debian menu is deprecated in favour
of XDG one. Since KDE applications ship .desktop files for it already,
and they are doing so for long time, then Debian menu entries for them
will not be added anymore.

Package: okular
Version: 4:4.1.1-1
Severity: minor

I have okular installed on my system, running fluxbox and it hasnt created any
menu entries.

Surely it should create an entry under viewers or such.

Thanks

Ben

only the latter (which is the canonical package).
   * Update lintian overrides.
   * Limit the udisks2 recommend in kde-runtime as linux-any, as udisks2 is

Package: libnepomuk4
Version: 4:4.14.2-5
Severity: wishlist

I wanted to upgrade various libraries from the unstable version to the
experimental version in the hope that it would solve some odd behaviour
in dolphin's Places section (which it did).
But doing that I had to uninstall various nepomuk related libraries and
programs that depend on them (yakuake, but also muon which I don't use).

This is caused because libnepomuk4, libnepomukquery4a and
libnepomukutils4 have a strict versioned dependency on libkdecore5 and
libkdeui5 (= 4:4.14.2-5) and the version in experimental of those
libraries is 4:4.14.6-1.
Oddly enough, libnepomukcore4 (version 4:14.0-1+b3) also has a
dependency on those libraries, but there the versioned dependency is
>=4:4.13.
It would be great if the other nepomuk libraries could also have a
similar versioned dependency, thus '>=' instead of '='.

Picking stuff from experimental always require attention, and due to the
way experimental works is not always possible without breaking something
else.

Everything that is shipped by the kde4libs source (including the
libnepomuk4 library) is considered as a "single entitity", and thus
allowing to install different versions of the libraries could cause
issues of any kind, which we wouldn't rather deal with.

Hence no, the dependency will not be loosen.

Bug#828121: ksnapshot: no translation available

> I've installed a kde translation package (e.g. kde-l10n-fr)

ksnapshot was part of the Applications releases, so its translations
were in kde-l10n-*. After 15.08, ksnapshot was replaced by spectacle
(available in Debian as kde-spectacle), which does everything ksnapshot
did, and does more; as consequence, kde-l10n does not provide
translations for ksnapshot anymore.

ksnapshot is basically dead upstream at this point, and we might just
remove it from Debian. In your case, you are highly recommeded to
switch to spectacle (which is already pulled by the kde-standard and
kdegraphics metapackages).

Thanks for your report,

I have reboot the pc, launch kde, eclipse.
I leave le pc idle 10 hours.
When I reuse it, the system was usuable, I launch the system-monitor,
I see that one of the 2 nepomukservices is consuming more than 950 Mo of the
2Go memory.
So with swapping it was usable.

I have stop the service indexing.
I did not see any other option to control these services: limit the memory may
be a good option.
May be there a memory leak ?

Package: kdenlive
Version: 15.04.3-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

In KDE System Settings and GNOME settings, I've selected Polish as preferred
translation. In .bashrc and .profile, I've exported LC_ALL to pl_PL.utf8. When
I use any application like Kate, gedit or GIMP, the UI is displayed in Polish.
The same applies for Jessie/stable. If I launch Kdenlive in stable (0.9.10-2),
the UI, apart from the Effects names, is displayed in Polish. But if I launch
Kdenlive in Stretch (15.04.3-2), then UI (apart from standard KDE translations
like Copy or Settings) isn't translated, but uses English. It also applies to
unstable release (15.08).

I have kdenlive-data installed, which contains… Which probably should contain
/usr/share/locale/pl/LC_MESSAGES/kdenlive.mo, as in stable. I can't find this
file in Stretch. When I look for "kdenlive.mo" (sid, amd64) at
packages.debian.org, it's found (37 results, same as in Jessie). But, again,
there's no such file in package list of files. I haven't tried building Kdenlive
from source.

Upstream apparently exists:

Thanks for the bug! I have just forwarded it upstream. Please consider
subscribing to the upstream bug (link above), it would be easier to debug if
you interact directly with upstream.

Thanks again, Lisandro.

In preview where, exactly? What were you doing? Which applications with?

Also, please provide the output of the following:
$ dpkg -l '*ogg*' | grep ^ii
$ dpkg -l '*phonon*' | grep ^ii
$ dpkg -l '*vlc*' | grep ^ii
$ dpkg -l '*gstreamer*' | grep ^ii

Note that, while I can provide hints, devuan is *not* supported,
and bugs in your derivative distribution must be reported to them
(and not to Debian).

Thanks,

While I do appreciate the efforts in reproducible builds, this patch is
a no-go: the information here is used when reporting bugs, starting
from the "Help -> Report a Bug" menu of KDE/Frameworks applications.
The value is (at least was until some time ago) added in bug reports in
bugzilla, and that helps to know more about the environment in which
a bug happens.

Because of this, I'm removing the "patch" tag, and I'd suggest you to
bring this issue upstream directly (one between the mailing lists
kde-frameworks-de...@kde.org, kde-core-de...@kde.org or
kde-de...@kde.org) so this can be eventually discussed there.
Applying this patch in Debian locally would imply less information
regarding bugs coming from Debian (and possibly derivatives).

Thanks,

Mm, except that in the majority of cases it's going to tell you the uname
of the Debian buildd that made the package, not really the environment
in which the bug actually occurred.

Possibly, although this is still something that needs to be tackled
upstream. Hacking it locally in Debian is not a long-term solution
we can afford to support.

Actualité : réservations étudiantes et/ou récurrentes

Bonjour ,
