Create a launcher on the desktop by right clicking on "Create Launcher" and
including the following:
Type: Application
Name: foo
Command: gnome-terminal -e "ls -Fla"
Then click OK
Double click on the newly-created desktop
Having never done a backtrace before, its unclear how I would go about
backtracing a program launched from a launcher. Is there a command-line
way of launching a “foo.desktop” object? If so, what is it? Knowing
this will allow me to do the following.

I found this thread searching for info on crashes I experience with every kde
start (powermanager) or whenever I try to open the displayconfig control. It

I found a different solution for me. I had my files stored on a Volume
that was not mounted all the time. When Amarok was started before the
volume was mounted, apparently some component figured out that all the
files from the library were gone and emptied my library. This did not
affect the playli

using qemu-img convert and copied the result to

the internal Touchpad (appletouch driver), the cursor only moves
horizontally or vertically. When dragging a diagonal line, the cursor
will move in steps, basically rendering the builtin touchpad unusable.

I have tested using Kernel versions 3.4-precise as well as 3.5-quantal
and 3.6-rc1-quantal. The issue was not fixed.
I can't make a direct comparsion, however my impression was that the
stepping effect was tad bit improved. At the same time, the touchpad
felt less responsive.

My computer, without warning, is shutting down in the middle of
operations. After a hard restart, it will work fine for a while and then
do the same thing. I think it might be a power management issue, as my
laptop is prone to overheating, but I figure that it's worth reportin

While installation, the sun-java6-bin breaks, and somehow completely destroys
the apt database.
The only known workaround for this is installing java manually, by compiling
from source.

Well, the exact nature is :
While installation, adept just hangs, and with command line, the shell
session freezes as well. It only happens at sun-java6-bin, and the other
packages are supposedly fine.
It can't be a problem with my installation. It happened on 5 consecutive
