Fair enough.  A bug tracker can be powerful but for a small 
group a more organic approach can be enough.  May I ask how do 
the contributors currently keep track of open issues?

My two cents: I like subversion but git tantalizes me.  However, 
after a couple of (quick) attempts, I confess I've never 
successfully got git fully working on my Macs.  Its a little bit 
of a mind f*ck, in a nice way.
