Would that be already an improvement to go for? BTW: I sort of like your ranking idea for "best games", but that I think I've to read more carefully. At least for me to judge "best game" only by average ELO seems to simple. I could even imagine additionall information to be used for that ranking. Say, why would Kasparov work out a 3rd class game if there wasn't anything in it? That is, shouldn't annotated games rank higher than unannotated ones even if they are by the masters?
