There are some aspects that i want to change in scid: In the Tree Window: 1) I want to change the the performance statistic. Actually it is just a lookout in a table based on the opponents elo average, i want to use the fide formula for the performance calculation and express the result as +/- over the AvElo (es instead of the actual AvElo 2700 Perf 2695 i'll prefer AvElo 2700 Perf -5) 2) I want to show AvElo and Perf even when there are less the 10 games (actually is not displayed because the way the performance is calculated give absurd results with few games) 3) I don't want that the tree window change the current filter 4) I want to change the best games windows: actually the games are simply ordered by the average elo of the two opponents. I want to take in consideration the year when the game was played (giving a penalty to older games) and the difference of elo between players (giving a penalty to games with a greater difference).
In the Analysis Engine #2 Window: 1) I want the finish game button to use two engines (one for each side) in fact creating a match between the Analysis Engine #1 and the Analysis Engine #2 Often i want to look at two or more games at once, and scid allows me only one board, a very big limit. Actually the biggest problem is that certain windows (such as the Tree Window and the PGN Window) are designed to function with only one board. I'm thinking about two options: 1) Add a list of "open" games that allows to quickly switch from one game to another. This is actually a trick, you can still look only at one game, but the current position of other games is recorded and loaded when needed 2) Design a new Board Window only for viewing games (no changes) with an added PGN Window included. That allows to view multiple games What do you think? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net Dev2Dev email is sponsored by: Show off your parallel programming skills.
