Probably stop just right there. Well, in modern times it is easy to call the compiler and come up to the PDF. This would, I think, help the non-TeXnican a lot. It's easy enough (just tried: even/especially on a Mac it is entirely easy) to install TeXlive but then you see a large ? popping up, as you just get some /usr/bin etc populated and thats it. (Actually, in the case where I checked it out on the Mac the user installed TeXshop and missed that there is some need for LaTeX as well ;) And all this exists already, but it should be cleaned up and corrected.
