As Ulrich suggested, it is a good thing to use TeXLive. http://tug.org/texlive/ Note that Debian provides both, classical tetex along with TeXLive, maybe that's the case in other distributions as well. Then you'll just have to select the right package. (The page above gives also a link to a suitable port for the fruits.) > Attached the log file I get when latex'ing your skak version of the game. The whole tex backend of Scid needs quite some rework. This part is actually done not too well in calling the necessary TeX tools and I fear it will work on a unix only as well. Additionally, it still calls latex and tries to follow up with the usuals ps toolchain (dvips, gs ...) and this should probably go for pdflatex and just open the resulting PDF. There was some volunteer but till now no patch arrived here. I'll not be in for a couple of days so I'll not touch those things either but if no one goes for cleaning up that part it's the next point on my internal list and will be done depending on my spare time schedule. But I'd encourage to come up with code :) Dumping out the TeX-files of course works but they would code wise need some refreshment... I think Ulrichs minimal example could be a good model. > Tex only completes after a bunch of console <enter>s. It seems I have > some font garbage hanging around. Fetch texlive from above. It comes with a nice installer, if your distro does not provide it already. > E.g. I see those a4* thingies in your file list. If obsolete is the correct term if you have a4 paper I'm not entirly sure. -- Kind regards, / War is Peace. | Freedom is Slavery. Alexander Wagner | Ignorance is Strength. | | Theory : G.
