Here is the work around : + Press ALT-CMD-click, that is OPT-Click + Press on the little button in the middle of the mouse
That should work most of the time. It works in the Game List. (The game list has no menus and is stuck to the Finder's menu, BTW.) It seems that in general X11 applications use middle mouse buttons and that in OSX this is rendered as Option-Click : http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20050404094020388
