Dear all,
When I disconnect the mouse and the keyboard cords from the server, the
server does not start. The boot process passes GRUB boot loader. Exactly
when boot loader passes I can see a few lines of text and then the system
freezes. The last message I can see is something like "Extracting
RedHat....Loading ...."
Is there anyone who can guide me to fix that problem.
Thanks
I had a similar problem on RH 7.2. Try disabling APM in the BIOS and pass
the "apm=off" argument to the kernel.
The relevant lines in /etc/grub.conf looks like the following:
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.18-18.7.x)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.18-18.7.x ro root=/dev/hda5 apm=off
initrd /initrd-2.4.18-18.7.x.img
HTH
