I've never had any problems with any of my Compaq's doing this (and I deal almost exclusively w/ them). There a possibility of it stopping at POST but you can change that setting in the bios. chadd

Compaq ML350 servers do this. You can find keyboard/mouse "dummy" boxes which you plug in. Makes the computer think a keyboard/mouse is always attached. You then plug your keyboard/mouse into the "box" when you need to admin the box. Or.. just leave a spare keyboard/mouse plugged in.
