When you remove a kernel package, it removes the corresponding boot
loader menu entry as well.

  # rpm --query --all 'kernel*'
  kernel-2.4.18-10
  kernel-2.4.18-18.7.x
  kernel-source-2.4.18-18.7.x
  kernel-doc-2.4.18-18.7.x
  # rpm --erase kernel-2.4.18-10
