Thanks for all the suggestions to edit the /etc/grub.conf file with a text editor. That worked fine for modifying the grub menu. What about the old kernels, though? I have to delete those manually as well.
I'm just surprised there is no GUI tool for this, since linuxconf had one and most distros have one. Boot settings are a part of system settings, IMO.
