All local files. We're not planning on ldap or any external services for some time. This is a straight oracle server with a local application. I've turned Oracle and the app off while this problem persists.
BTW, I just noticed that logging in as root I get in just fine (locally and remotely). All other user accounts are unable to get in. I've even deleted then recreated them using userdel and useradd. Strange. ls -ld /home shows drwxr-xr-x 10 root root 4096 Nov 4 10:09 /home ls -ld /home/user_name shows this drwxr-x--- 3 user_name user_name 4096 Nov 4 10:09 user_name Thought that looked ok to me. --- > Some days it helps to reread the problem... ls -ld /home > ls -ld /home/user_name Because you can't log in via ftp either, it means > that it's not an ssh > problem. How are you authenticating the user?
