When I went to RHCE training at Red Hat, the instructor told me that large file support in the file system and in the apps/libraries has been available since Red Hat 7.2.

Actually, it is a two-part issue. First, as you say, the file system needs to support large files. Second, however, is that libraries and applications need to be compiled to understand file offsets that are greater than +/- 2GB. As Red Hat supplies libraries and applications, it is sensible to ask whether they support large files. That's how much I know. I don't know whether RH 7.3 supports large files. -kb, the Kent who guesses it does. -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@;redhat.com?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@;redhat.com?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
