Hello dear list! I have redhat7.2, apache1.3.23, php4.1.2, wu-ftpd-2.5.0 How can i make ftp guest user to be able to upload on htdocs apache directory?
/usr/sbin/useradd theguest By default theguest user directory created under /home apache htdocs /usr/local/apache/htdocs I tried to change theguest directory in the /etc/passwd theguest:x:555:556::/usr/local/apache/htdocs/./:/bin/true when i login to the server using ftpeditor i endedup in the /htdocs apache directory, but i could not upload any files, not even create new one. Should I change theguest user permission? Or maybe I should use real user instead of guest? Thanks and best regards, Sergei Giritch Daslweb inc.
