Probably worth a try: Get the Gnomehide RPMS:
gdk-pixbuf-0.14.0-8.i386.rpm
gdk-pixbuf-devel-0.14.0-8.i386.rpm
gdk-pixbuf-gnome-0.14.0-8.i386.rpm
from 
ftp://people.redhat.com/hp/gnomehide/7.2/RPMS/
and use the packages to upgrade your current gdk-pixbuf.
