They are there to load and save mixer settings when the module is loaded and unloaded. However, reconfiguring the sound card won't make the errors you posted go away. They are (if I recall correctly) related to the sound server looking for alsa/oss sound modules. (http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/alsa-howto/c1660.htm) has examples of the modules associated with those warnings. I have the same problem here, and just added the alias ${module} off lines to /etc/modules.conf, which stopped the error messages without doing any harm to the sound. - -- - -Michael pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/gpgkey.txt Red Hat Linux 7.{2,3} in 8M of RAM: http://www.rule-project.org/ - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iEYEARECAAYFAj1sOy4ACgkQn/07WoAb/SvB8ACfSCucntpxpDHKn22IElnRVi5i K+IAn0sKYBc4lA088OjJa+LGVT7aqGjG =zhds -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
