Something I learned a *long* time ago w/ Linux, is that the 'free'
support via mailing-lists and newsgroups is worth every penny I pay for
it.  Most of the time, if you ask the question in the right place, like
list or group dedicated to that topic, you have pretty good odds of
getting at least a partial answer right off the bat.  If not, usually
you get pointed in the right direction to find the answer yourself.

If this is not the case, rephrasing the question slightly, and reasking
the question, either on the same list/group, or perhaps on a different
venue entirely, will net results.  In any event, remember that the
people here are reading/answering questions because they want to, not
because they have to.  Sometimes your title doesn't jump out at them the
first (couple) times if they are busy.  Maybe they are waiting for
someone more knowledgeable to give an authoritative answer.  If the
answer is somewhat obscure, but important enough to you, the only
solutions are either a) be patient, or b) cough up the money.

In any event, insulting the body before which you came seeking knowledge
is rarely a wise idea.
