At the risk of slipping off-topic, I must respectfully disagree. The K6-x product line (I own four of 'em, BTW, they're nice processors for low priced systems) has a notoriously weak FPU. For integer work it's as good as a pentium of equal clock speed, but can't hold a candle to Intel's FPU. Now, the Athlon, OTOH, has a FPU at least a strong as Intel's, some would say it's even better.
