no sound

I'm having trouble getting sound from Red Hat 7.2.  I have run setup and it finds the Sound Blaster Live card, but during the test I don't hear any sound.  At first I was able to see and change the volume on the mixer settings.  Now I'm not able to see any mixer settings.  What module I'm I missing?
