I have a CPxJ, and I have been investigating this problem. It turns out that there is a design misfeature in the CPxJ's ATI Rage M1 video subsystem that precludes getting acceptable video on both internal and external ports. There is a Dell KB article about displaying full-motion video that outlines the issue. Dell's solution is to disable simultaneous hardware-driven display on both ports. The Windows driver for the Rage M1 gets around this problem (in most circumstances) using a software-driven display for the second port. I have contacted Marc Aurele La France, the XFree86 ATI driver maintainer, and we are in the process of trying to develop a patch (he writes and I test). I'll report back when/if we are successful. -- Matthew Saltzman Clemson University Math Sciences [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.math.clemson.edu/~mjs _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
