I just started using ximian gnome with evolution as my email client. One of my reasons to keep using MS products is outlook, but evolution is as good or better, especially as it is not given to spreading virus. The ximian redcarpet installer and system amanger is exceptional. This brings the linux desktop one major step closer to widespread adoption. I've been using it on my laptop for almost everything this week, and I could see a lightweight office user having no problem with a redhat/ximian system. I use my W2K system for video editing and graphics, so I won't be giving it up just yet, but the important question is, can it replace the majority of office systems. With ximian, evolution, and star office, I think it's a possibility.
