 Or just the fact that you installed autofs. Yes!, I finally did the install 
for a friend (so far so good, except for a crash after package selection -> 
dependencies -> back -> selection -> done (new install), plus a KDE crash when 
switching back and forth to a console during KDE startup, but these could have 
been hardware...(old box, P166, no graphic install with 32 MB?)), and since I 
usually do not use autofs I noticed this causes some problems when you expect 
to be able to mount a CD by hand. When I just stopped autofs I had to 
"modprobe cdrom" before I could mount a CD. This was before I applied updates, 
so I am not too sure about the depmod solution. Dunno how one should use 
autofs on a console, so I kicked it out and reinited the system. No problems 
after that. But this is not an issue specific to 7.2 as far as I can see.
