How fast is your connection at home? X sends a fair amount of
information, so if you are using a dialup connection, you will definitly
have speed problems. You can try using the -C option of ssh to compress
the data stream, and see if that helps, or hurts. If it makes things
faster, then the connection speed is the limmiting factor. If it slows
things down, then processing power of your firewall is the problem.
