If it's a PPTP VPN, go to http://freshmeat.net/ and search on LINUX
PPTP, then visit the home page. There are RPMs and setting it up is
*fairly* easy.

If it's an IPsec VPN, go to http://www.xs4all.nl/~freeswan/ and start
reading.
