I've configured RH 6.2 to print to printers attached to a Windoze box
without doing ANYTHING with Samba. I believe SAMBA was installed, but
have (had at the time) not done anything with it. All I had to do was
use RH's printtool to configure the printer. When using the ADD button
on printtool, choose "SMB/Windows 95/NT printer", give the spool entry a
name, enter the hostname of the windoze box, and the printer name, user
name, and password of the Windows share (you did share the printer on
the Windoze box, didn't you?) and voila! Bob's your uncle!
I've only done it with a Win95 printer, and therefore do not know if
the encrypted password issue on recent Windoze versions will bite or not.
