i've already got my reference number to ship this sucker back. sigh.
it's only a year old. i expected better. so while mine's in the shop,
i can gaze longingly at my buddy's thinkpad, which is running rh 7.0
flawlessly right now. heck, it even has a choice in Xconfigurator for
"IBM Thinkpad 1400x1050". doesn't get much easier than that.
