As an aside, the NIC is not a 3c509 (as I said initially), it is an SMC
EtherEZ that has been working fine for nearly 3 years. It has plug &
play turned off, and has co-existed all that time with a 3c509 on eth1
with no problems.
I am getting between 0 and 3 of these messages a day. There is no other
discernable problem (assuming this is a problem).
