Well, as I said in the original message, I'm not asking 'em to "throw
away" their investment in Gnome, just to INCLUDE KDE2 RPMs in their
"respin" CDs. Why they include a BETA version of KDE2 (from what I
understand) but not the FULL RELEASE is beyond me.

Yes, KDE2 is VERY different from KDE1. Yes, it's a huge jump from
where KDE1 was, but why don't they include KDE2 with their "updated"
CD images? If they're shipping with BETA KDE2 stuff (which is my
understanding) that's, IMNSHO, even WORSE than shipping with ONLY
KDE2 and ignoring Gnome.

RH has always been highly Gnome-centric, which is fine. Mandrake is
highly KDE-centric. Other distros probably have their preferred
window manager. However, if you're going to have an updated CD Image,
it would make sense to me to include the latest full-release RPMs for
all window managers you support!

Again, I'm *not* trying to start a Window Manager War, but I'm just
wondering why they don't include the full-release RPMs (which I
understand are available on the FTP site)???
