You didn't do something strange like:

mv /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/tdfx_drv.o \ 
        /lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/tdfx.o

Did you?

If so, that's not a DRI module, but an XFree86 driver module.  The sources
for the tdfx.o can be found at:

http://linux.3dfx.com/open_source/download/dri/tdfx_drm-1.0-3.src.rpm
